Each year, Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) awards three $1,000 scholarships to young members who demonstrate academic excellence, citizenship, and credit union participation. APCU's Youth Member Development Scholarship reflects the credit union's belief that education is the foundation that helps young members build a strong, financially sound future.
The winners of Atlanta Postal Credit Union's 2009 Youth Member Development Scholarship are: Jessica Mooney of Statesboro, GA who plans to attend the University of Georgia and major in journalism; McKay Matthews of Bogart, GA whose major is currently undecided, but plans on attending college in the state of Georgia; and Paige Reece of Dawsonville, GA who plans to attend the University of Georgia as well, and major in biology and genetics.
"Our youth members are very important to us. It is exciting knowing that through our yearly scholarship competition, we are helping our younger members pursue their dreams," stated Dianne Yost, APCU's Senior VP of Marketing.
