Middle, GA (October 6, 2009) – MidSouth Federal Credit Union recently made a donation to the Heart of Georgia Humane Society. Heart of Georgia is a non-profit Humane Society that rescues animals who are in high-kill local animal shelters, primarily in Bibb and Baldwin counties. They give animals veterinary care and place them in foster homes until they are permanently adopted. This donation will benefit the Humane Society’s S.N.I.P. (Spay/Neuter Intervention) Program. Through this program, low-income pet owners can have their pets spayed or neutered at no cost. Heart of Georgia expects to have at least 100 animals spayed and neutered this year.
