Duluth, GA – Georgia Federal Credit Union’s (GFCU) annual Wish Tree Program was another huge success this year. GFCU members and employees, partnered with other organizations such as local schools to grant many wishes for foster children in need during the holiday season.

This was the twentieth year that the Credit Union has worked with local Departments of Family & Children’s Services in the counties Georgia Federal Credit Union serves. Each partnership has proven to be a success year after year with the Credit Union providing numerous Christmas gifts for children. In spite of the dismal economy, over 800 hundred gifts were donated this holiday season, from bicycles to educational toys and baby dolls. In addition, monetary donations were given to purchase more gifts for deserving foster kids in the local community. The gifts were delivered to the children the week of Christmas.

In addition to Credit Union member and staff donations, special thanks to the some of GFCU’s generous member groups such as EZ Prints, DeKalb School’s Sam Moss Service Center, Gem Shopping Network, PDI, Hambrick Elementary, and Dunwoody High Student Government Association.
