Athens, GA - Georgia Federal Credit Union (GFCU) awarded a $2,500 scholarship to William Hodges. GFCU mailed postcards to University of Georgia students and distributed information about the scholarship at new student orientations. Students were encouraged to return their postcards to the UGA branch in Athens to be entered in the Credit Union’s scholarship drawing. Hodge’s postcard was selected randomly from over hundreds of entries.

Warren Butler, GFCU President & CEO, commented, “GFCU prides itself in being able to provide financial support to students pursing a higher education. GFCU created this scholarship to give back to the community and to encourage students to continue striving to reach their educational goals.”
