On May 22nd 2010, Coosa Valley Credit Union hosted the first ever Savings Crew Saturday at the new Eco Center at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome Georgia. The Savings Crew is Coosa Valley’s children’s savings program lead by their Mascot Captain Jack Dollar a lovable pirate who encourages kids to save their treasure and watch it grow. During youth week 2010, Savings Crew members entered their names at their closest branch to be invited to Savings Crew Saturday with the Captain and his crew. 20 winners and their families were treated to a Saturday afternoon at the new Eco Center at Ridge Ferry park of fun, pirate cup cakes and snacks, an eco treasure hunt where the learned about the local rivers, wildlife and ecology plus loads of treasure to take home.
