The employees of the main branch of the Coosa Valley Credit Union in Rome GA. took a moment out of the day Tuesday March 9th to line the street outside the branch and welcome home the 108th Calvary, Company A of the U.S. Army National Guard from 12 months of duty In Afghanistan. For the past year, the Calhoun-based 108th Cavalry monitored border crossings and taught the Afghan army about soldiering, sometimes doing their jobs under significant enemy fire. Ron Tomlinson, CEO/President of Coosa Valley and former Marine stated “It’s just awesome to see our troops come home to their families after serving us with such honor over seas.”
