Member
Account Verifications |
| |
The verification
of members' deposit and loan accounts is usually performed by
the supervisory committee. Although a simple procedure to perform,
oftentimes aspects of the procedure are overlooked. These omissions
are now being looked at closely by regulators. If deficiencies
are found, a credit union may be required to have the verification
performed again, utilizing the services of a Certified Public
Accountant. To prevent this from happening to your credit union,
our staff can assist you by performing the verification entirely,
assisting in certain aspects of the verification such as compiling
the results, reviewing the procedures and reports that were
prepared to document the verification procedure, and providing
technical and educational assistance. |
