Georgia Credit Union Affiliates

The Affiliates offers four programs to assist credit unions in issuing credit cards, depending on the level of control the credit union wants to maintain:

  • Full Service: This program allows outsourcing of many aspects of the credit card program such as payment processing, chargebacks, cardholder customer service, etc. The Affiliates provides the credit union with daily support and customer service.
  • Self-Administered: This program allows the credit union to maintain more control, because the credit union can perform its own customer service, payment processing and chargeback processing. Each of these items could also be outsourced to the credit card processor, Fidelity National Information Services, Inc.
  • Pass-Through: This program allows the credit union to view its credit card data on its Host data processing system, giving the credit union flexibility in generating reports, processing statements, running promotions, processing chargebacks and payments, and providing customer service.
  • EZ Launch: This program provides a way for credit unions to provide credit cards to members without worrying about back-office work, without carrying credit card loans on their books, and without any other risk or exposure.

The Affiliates has partnered with Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. to provide support for credit card issuing credit unions in Georgia. Depending on which credit card program is chosen, we assist credit unions in some or all of the following areas:

  • Completing pricing models
  • Implementation of products (both VISA© and MasterCard©)
  • Strategic planning for growth
  • Accounting, reports and marketing training in the Atlanta area (for a nominal fee)
  • Daily support of all programs, as well as researching and troubleshooting account questions and/ or problems
  • Work with credit unions on all aspects of promotions (paperwork, follow-up, etc.)
  • Assist with parameter changes and submit forms to Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. on the credit union's behalf
  • Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. handles all statement printing, chargebacks and disputes for full-service programs (optional on self-administered and pass-through programs)
  • Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. provides an 800 # for members to call for customer service inquiries for full-service programs (optional on self-administered programs)
  • Enhancements are available (LetterChecks, ScoreCard, travel accident insurance, credit life and disability insurance, etc.)
  • Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. supports Classic, Gold, Platinum, Secured, Merchant and Home Equity programs through both VISA and MasterCard
