- Full
Service credit card program options are brought to you through
a partnership of the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, Card
Services for Credit Unions and Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc.
- The
implementation time to start a Full Service program is a
minimum of 12 weeks.
- The
credit card plastics, statements, letters and all other
correspondence for your program will be branded with your
credit union name or logo.
- Loan
decisions, funding of receivables, loan losses, maintaining
a credit card program database, accounting, member service
and marketing will be handled by your credit union.
- Chargebacks,
first line member service, lost/stolen calls, fraud monitoring
and gathering documentation for fraud claims will be handled
by Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. staff.
- Your
credit union will retain all finance charge, fee and interchange
income.
- Training
for a new program, creating applications and a credit card
policy are the responsibility of your credit union. There
are several sources that GCUA can refer your credit union
to for help.
- Your
credit union will be responsible for deciding the parameters
of your card program, such as interest rates, fees, reissue
criteria, etc.
- You
can choose from either Visa or MasterCard programs – Classic,
Gold, Platinum and Platinum Preferred (with ScoreCard Bonus
Points redeemable for rewards and travel options, $1,000,000
Travel Accident Insurance and 24 X 7 member service). Business
card programs and Merchant processing are also available
through Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. Items of interest that are
available through Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. are as follows:
interest rates can be fixed or variable; credit limits start
at $500 and can go as high as your credit union would like;
promotions can be offered to cardholders; Letterchecks and
ScoreCard (Cash Back or Bonus Points) are available.
- Marketing
materials and pre-approval mailers are available for purchase
through the GCUA Marketing Department and Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc.
Custom materials and marketing plans are available upon
request through the GCUA Marketing Department.
- GCUA's
Card Services Department provides daily support for your
credit union's card program. We handle requests for research,
program implementation and parameter change paperwork, training
requests, portfolio analysis, promotions and our staff is
source of consultation for many aspects of maintainng a
card program. We offer several training class opportunities
during the year, usually in the Atlanta area.
- Card
Services for Credit Unions is a trade association partnered
with Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. that offers sponsorship for your
credit union's membership into Visa or MasterCard. CSCU
represents 2,100 credit unions with more than 12 million
cards at Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. and Visa and MasterCard. CSCU also offers
an Internet-based portfolio development tool called the
Virtual Card Consultant, provides training classes around
the country and holds an annual meeting. The annual meeting
provides educational sessions and speakers, as well as creating
an opportunity for access to GCUA staff, Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc. staff and
management, representatives from Visa and MasterCard and
peer credit unions.
