See the difference you can make!

With or without credit union involvement, there will be elections. Those elected will determine the fate of the credit union movement. Either we are involved in the process and shape the outcome, or we will let bankers and other interests do it for us. One very important aspect of political action is the monetary support of candidates – through Political Action Committees.

Credit union activists take part in the political process in a variety of ways, from advocacy/government affairs programs designed to educate and influence elected officials on key issues to individual political action by employees and members. As appropriate, individuals also make financial contributions to support selected political campaigns, sometimes with direct contributions to candidates and at other times contributing to credit union PACs.
