GCUA
Georgia Credit Union Affiliates

The Affiliates represent the interests of Georgia credit unions with state and federal elected officials. Staff gathers information from credit unions in order to formulate legislative policy. The Advocacy Team maintains working relationships with state and federal elected officials and their staffs.

Staying involved in the political process and staying abreast of the changing legislative and issues are essential in ensuring that credit unions have a voice in how they will conduct business and serve their members – now and in the future.

Through the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates Government Influence area, credit unions have access to legislative updates through the publication Creating Influence, leveraged input with proposed legislation, coordinated grassroots influence, political action fundraising and state and federal lobbying to protect the political interests of credit unions.
