What is Kinderprint
Kinderprint Safety & ID Kits are a vital investigative tool for law enforcement. These kits record personal and critical information about a missing child to share with law enforcement in the event that a child goes missing. There is a place for the child’s name, address, Social Security number and other important personal details. The kit also has a fingerprinting strip, a place for dental records and emergency contact information. This is an inexpensive way to “do the right thing” for youth and their families. On the back of the kits, are safety tips for each child to follow. These kits, and the balloons attached on the inside, can be personalized with a credit union logo.

How to Implement the Kinderprint Program

• Invite local police officer to assist with fingerprinting
• Offer a child safety display or presentation for local law enforcement
• Have CU coloring books and other children’s materials available
• Send Public Service Announcement to local radio stations
