Regional and national credit union support organizations include:
   
 
CULAC is a federally registered political action committee. With contributions from credit union people across the country, CULAC assists deserving candidates for federal office.

 
CUNA is the national trade association for the nation's credit unions. CUNA provides quality products and serves for credit union; provides research, consultation, and information services for leagues, credit unions and the general public; and promotes and advocates credit union issues to elected officials at the federal level.

 
CUNA Mutual Group is the leading financial services provider to credit unions and their members worldwide, offering insurance, investments and technology solutions through strategic relationships and multiple service delivery channels.

 
The Credit Union Service Center National Network was originally started by credit union state level trade associations known as Leagues. CUSC makes it possible for credit unions nationwide to come together and create Shared Service Center locations around the country. Shared Service Centers allow a participating credit union member to conduct business just as if the center were her a branch of her own credit union. By sharing facilities, credit unions can offer greater convenience for members to perform necessary financial transactions.

 
The Georgia Department of Banking and Finance regulates banks, holding companies, international banks and representatives offices of banks, trust companies, credit unions, check sellers, mortgage licensees and registrants and other companies engaged in or related to the financial services industry in the state of Georgia. The mission of the Department of Banking and Finance is to promote safe, sound, competitive and accessible financial services through the highest quality regulation and supervision.

 
NASCUS is an umbrella organization comprising four affiliates: The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors; the NASCUS Credit Union Council; the Foundation for the Preservation of Dual Chartering; and the National Institute for State Credit Union Examination. The mission of NASCUS is to enhance state credit union supervision and to be an advocate for a safe and sound state credit union system.

 
The National Credit Union Administration is an independent federal agency that supervises and insures federal credit unions and state-chartered credit unions. It is entirely funded by credit unions and receives no tax dollars.

 
The National Credit Union Foundation is the charitable arm of the U.S. credit union movement. The Foundation raises funds and makes grants that promote consumer financial education, affordable mortgage lending, savings and asset accumulation and more.

 
The World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. (WOCCU) is the apex trade association and development agency of the international credit union movement. It promotes the sustainable growth of credit unions and financial cooperatives across the globe.
